Hamptons hotel operators strategize on how to reopen safely

Perhaps it’s wishful thinking, but East End hotel operators are devising plans on how to reopen and do so safely, according to the Easthampton Star.

Cape Resorts, which owns Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor, is planning to spread out tables in its restaurants and lounge chairs at pools. It is also planning to outfit cleaning crews with ozone machines to filter air between stays.

Gurney’s Resort plans to open in mid-May with a “detailed hygiene protocol.” Management is drawing up in-room amenities such as streaming workouts and is beefing up room-service menus.
