This summer’s most unusual rental isn’t a mansion or beach house, it’s an entire 13-room spa and resort in Water Mill.
Amy Cherry-Abitbol, owner of the Shou Sugi Ban House spa and resort, is offering a summer-long rental of the three-acre property for $1.25 million — sauna, plunge pool, and the services of staff included.
The spa shut down in March and most clients cancelled reservations for the summer. Abitbol figured the safest option for keeping the place open and her employees working was “to have one consistent renter” so turnover would be lower. She’s hoping the deal will appeal to an extended family or a small organization. [Bloomberg] — Dennis Lynch
