Avenues: The World School plans to open Hamptons outpost

Avenues: The World School, an exclusive New York-based for-profit education system, plans to open up an outpost in the Hamptons, according to the East Hampton Star. Avenues’ Margaret Wollner, who will head the East End school, said a number of families with students left New York for the Hamptons amid the coronavirus pandemic. She said that “since Covid-19” the school has “increased interest from current Avenues families as well as others who are considering all or part of next school year [in the Hamptons].” Tuition for the 2019-2020 school year was around $56,000. The school has campuses in Brazil and China and plans to open in Silicon Valley and Miami this year. Co-founder Alan Greenberg last year sold a Trump Tower condo for $10.3 million.
