Southampton Village Mayor Jesse Warren is getting a new landlord — two apparent rivals, former Mayor Mark Epley and his son Zach Epley. He sought and received assurances in early July that he wouldn’t be evicted when his lease expires in October, but has continued to express fear he’ll be forced to move, according to the Southampton Press.
Warren’s eligibility for office requires residing in the village. When asked for comment on Warren’s concerns, Mark Epley repeatedly told the Press, “I don’t care.” He said he didn’t care who the tenants of the building were and didn’t care if Warren thought Epley would buy a building just to evict him.
