The Sag Harbor Village board of trustees is poised to adopt a six-month moratorium on development along a stretch of the village waterfront.
The board will accept comments over 10 days and will likely adopt the moratorium at its next session on Sep. 23, according to the Southampton Press. The moratorium is meant to give time for planners to craft strategies for long-term development of the area. The moratorium would stretch from the Cormaria retreat center to the West Water Street village mooring area. Consultants working on the development plan said they could have a proposal ready for the board by the end of the year. [Southampton Press] — Dennis Lynch
