Construction is set to restart on a stalled residential project in downtown White Plains, according to LoHud.
Work ground to a halt in early June after contractor Katerra filed for bankruptcy. Three laid-off employees sued the firm and are seeking class-action status.
The 434-unit project, dubbed “The Mitchell,” is rising at the corner of Mamaroneck Avenue and East Post Road. Work on the project, which includes retail and parking, is to resume next week.
Developer LMC, a subsidiary of Lennar Company, said that the first units should be completed by the first quarter of 2022. The firm previously anticipated completion of those units by the end of this year.
