Alec Baldwin has been trying to sell his Amagansett home for more than three years. But instead of knocking down the price — the logical move for stuck sellers — Baldwin is raising it.
The actor’s home at 355 Town Lane in the Hamptons community is back on the market for $21 million, Newsday reported. The property was taken off the market a little more than a year ago, when it was available for $19 million.
It would be natural to think the elevated price accompanies an upgraded offering, but that isn’t the case, according to Saunders & Associates’ Scott Bradley, the listing agent for the 10-acre estate.
The biggest development appears to be the home’s role in a TLC reality show detailing the family lives of Baldwin, his wife and their children. But even seeing Baldwin at the home is not unprecedented for viewers, since he cut a two-minute video in early 2024 trying to hawk the home.
Baldwin purchased the estate in 1995 for $1.7 million. Since then, he’s made two additions, bringing the property’s main home to 9,000 square feet. The property is approved for the construction of another home of similar size, as well as expanding the existing five-bedroom, seven-bathroom house.
Other features of the home include two upper-level balconies, a wood-paneled library, a wine-tasting room and movie theater. The backyard features a pool with a spa, surrounded by a pavilion and stone fireplace. There’s also private beach access.
Baldwin listed the property in September 2022 for $29 million. At the start of 2023, he cut the price to $25 million, before reducing it again two months later to $22.5 million and then down to $19 million before it was taken off the market.
In other Baldwin dealings, the actor and his wife, Hilaria, sold their lake house upstate in 2022 for $530,000. He was also reportedly shopping his penthouse in Greenwich Village in Manhattan last year.
Rural life is the life for the Baldwins, it seems: the couple bought a 55-acre farm in Arlington, Vermont, for $1.7 million several years ago.
