Kathie Lee Gifford is looking to go big with the sale of her waterfront estate.
The former host of the “Today” show listed her estate at 108 Cedar Cliff in Riverside, Connecticut, for $100 million, the Wall Street Journal reported. Should Gifford land such a price for her home, it would be one of the most expensive purchases in the history of the state.
The lot is nearly three acres, and the main house is more than 13,000 square feet, bringing the listing price to nearly $7,600 per square foot.
The Mediterranean-style mansion dates back roughly a century. The eight-bedroom home includes a pool, a poolhouse, a tennis court, a private beach and a dock.
Gifford and her late husband bought the property on the Greenwich waterfront in 1994 for $7.8 million. It was once owned by the wealthy Shoemaker family, according to historic documents.
After acquiring the property, the Giffords added a wing with a primary suite, movie theater, home office, wine cellar and professional recording studio. The home ultimately played host to screenings, charity events and the occasional taping of the “Today” show.
Frank Gifford, a New York Giants player turned sports broadcaster who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, died in 2015. Kathie Lee left the “Today” show four years later and moved to Nashville; her children live in California.
Leslie McElwreath of Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing.
Gifford also once owned a property in Key Largo that was part of her husband’s estate. She listed that home in 2018.
Connecticut’s home sale record was set in 2023, when an anonymous buyer paid $138.8 million for Copper Beech Farm in Greenwich. The seller — a limited liability company connected to hedge fund billionaire Ray Dalio — spent $120 million to buy the waterfront estate in 2014, a record for the state at the time.
