Alicia Cervera Lamadrid and Veronica Cervera Goeseke
Alicia Cervera Lamadrid and her sister, Veronica Cervera Goeseke, are part of the Cervera real estate dynasty, best known for pioneering Miami’s new development market. The family, led by their late father Javier Cervera and their mother Alicia Cervera, fled to Miami from Cuba in 1961. In 1969, their mother founded Cervera Real Estate, who is still chairman of the brokerage firm today. She’s known as the “Queen of Brickell.”
Cervera Lamadrid pursued a doctorate in clinical psychology before pivoting to work for the family business. “I decided that I did not want to spend my life in a world of dealing with other people’s problems,” she told The Real Deal in a 2023 interview. “I wasn’t sure exactly what I was going to do. I had a willing and able employer who definitely wanted me there … so here I am.”
In 2001, Cervera Lamadrid formed a partnership with Jorge Pérez’s Related Group, called RCRS Related Cervera Realty Services, to sell Related developments, a venture that ended in the 2008 financial crisis.
Cervera Goeseke, who started her career in the company’s mailroom, became CEO in 2011. She’s been involved in selling out of the brokerage’s marquee projects, including the Bristol and more recently, Vita at Grove Isle.
The sisters lead the firm together, which means overseeing sales and marketing for more than 25,000 condos, over 100 projects and worked with dozens of developers as a team.
