Elliott Kahn
Kahn is a Los Angeles-based partner for developer Crescent Heights, which is one of the most active condo converters in the city.
Crescent Heights is planning the biggest condominium conversion in Los Angeles in half a century at Ten Thousand, a 40-story, 280-unit luxury apartment building in Century City. Recently, the company repositioned Orange County’s tallest residential towers as condominiums after purchasing the real estate for $240 million and has begun closing units there.
Kahn’s father Sonny Kahn cofounded the company, and Elliott has worked there for more than a decade. It was founded in Los Angeles but later moved to South Florida, where condominium conversions (its bread and butter) were easier to complete.
The city of Beverly Hills rejected Crescent Heights’ proposed builder’s remedy project to turn an empty lot in Los Angeles into a 26-story building. Crescent Heights has three other developments in Los Angeles: The Palladium Residences, designed around the preservation and restoration of Hollywood Palladium, which will feature two 32-story towers with 731 residential units; 11th & Olive, which aims to transform neglected warehouse space into 800 homes and over 12,500 square feet of ground floor retail; and Koreatown’s 3100 Wilshire tower that’ll include residential and retail space.
