James Harris

Estates Director

Estates Director,  Carolwood Estates

Anyone who wants to know how James Harris has entered the rarefied air of $5 billion in career sales can get a good idea of how he spent the recent year-end holiday season. In December Harris joined Douglas Elliman’s Marc Shevin as listing agent on 25242 Prado Del Grandioso in Calabasas’ gated Estates at The Oaks community.

The residence went into contract at the start of the month with a listing price just under $16 million. There was also an 11th-floor unit at the Four Seasons residences in Beverly Hills that sold for $10.2 million and about $700 million in listings Harris currently holds. That’s coming off the May sale of 630 Nimes Road in Bel-Air, which sold for $110 million, and included Harris, Stephen Resnick, Jonathan Nash and David Parnes on the listing. Nimes Road is tied for L.A. County’s largest residential sale with that of 594 South Mapleton Drive, known as Spelling Manor.

In all, Harris has closed on three residential transactions in excess of $100 million over his career. The former “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” cast member joined Carolwood in February 2024 from the Agency, where he was co-founder of the high-performing Bond Street Partners, along with Parnes. The duo announced they’d be going their separate ways after 13 years working together on a team that counted $940 million in 2024 sales volume across 76 sides.
