Kenneth Stiles

Chief Executive Officer

Kenneth Stiles leads the Fort Lauderdale-based firm founded by his father, Terry Stiles, in 1951. Terry, who died of cancer in 2017, was credited with kickstarting Class A office development in Fort Lauderdale. Since his father’s death Stiles has overseen the firm’s expansion, but he was co-CEO alongside his father before then.

The company’s portfolio includes office, industrial, retail and mixed-use properties across Florida and the Southeast, where it has developed more than 54 million square feet.

In recent years, Stiles has focused on repositioning office buildings and expanding its industrial footprint amid shifting demand. Recent projects include a pair of 24-story residential towers in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village, a mixed-use redevelopment in downtown Tampa, and new office towers in Plantation and Miami-Dade.

Some of the company’s developments have drawn opposition from residents and scrutiny from local officials over density, traffic and neighborhood character, including a proposed planned urban development in Fort Lauderdale’s Colee Hammock neighborhood in the early 2010s, but critics later agreed that controversy over that project was “overblown.” Stiles also oversees the family office.
