Michael Comras

Chief Executive Officer

Comras has been involved in transforming some of Miami’s most recognizable retail streets since launching his boutique development and leasing firm in 1992. Comras, who grew up on Long Island and later lived in New York City, has always been attracted to walkable neighborhoods with outdoor cafes and engaging retail. He once compared himself to a “kid in a candy store” when he travels, as he is always looking for new retail ideas.

Comras was instrumental in repositioning Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, where he was involved in a $370 million of an entire block on the promenade in 2015 to billionaire Amancio Ortega. Now he’s back for another round. In late 2025, Comras’ firm paid $140 million for properties he plans to redevelop into a boutique shopping district called NoLi.

Some of Comras’ deals have ended in the courtroom, including a failed RH development in the Miami Design District, but the retail broker and developer is known for his successes, from assembling retail tenants in Miami Beach to Midtown Miami and Coconut Grove, and likeable nature.

Over the past decade, he has bolstered his reputation in Miami with projects that include the multi-year overhaul of CocoWalk, a joint venture with Federal Realty and Grass River Property that revamped the dated shopping center into a vibrant mixed-use property.
