Pam Liebman

Chief Executive Officer

Pam Liebman had big shoes to fill.

In 2000, she was tapped to take over the Corcoran Group from its beloved founder, Barbara Corcoran, a New York City real estate icon.

Liebman appeared to have the chops. By the time she’d ascended in the ranks, she’d already been at the company for more than 15 years, after joining as an agent at just 23 years old.

Since taking the top executive spot, Liebman has left her mark on the brokerage. She launched its development marketing arm, which, after joining with the Sunshine Group in 2005, became the city’s go-to firm for luxury condo developments. Corcoran Group routinely crowns The Real Deal’s ranking of the top firms, including last year when it snagged just under $5 billion across more than 1,800 closed sell-side deals in the city.

She was also at the helm of the company when Corcoran sold to NRT, which later became Anywhere Real Estate, one of the largest brokerage conglomerates in the country.

She remains at the company’s top post during a critical juncture for both Corcoran and the industry. Under pressure of increased consolidation across the brokerage landscape, Liebman is tasked with maintaining Corcoran’s identity after its parent company closed a merger with another giant, Compass.
