Randall Davis

Randall Davis’ eponymous company has pioneered the development of luxury condominiums in Houston. 

Before homing in on the high end with Randall Davis Company in 1991, he worked in property management and moved up to developing mid-tier apartments. That’s allowed him to see both sides of Houston’s boom-and-bust market over the course of his career. “Everything went according to plan until the oil companies went bust and everything went the other way,” Davis recalled in a recent Luke Patterson podcast.  

Under the umbrella of Randall Davis Company, he’s developed more than a dozen projects, most luxury condos with some hospitality projects. His most notable project is London House, a condo project the firm recently built in the prestigious River Oaks neighborhood of Houston. The 12-story, 70,000-square-foot project at 2323 San Felipe Street features 23 units, which were 90 percent sold when the property opened. 

London House is part of a wave of luxury condos being built in Houston. The firm has also developed luxury projects such as Sapphire in South Padre Island and Diamond Beach in Galveston. He has busted out in the past, with a Chapter 7 filing in the wake of his divorce years ago, but retains an air of natural ambition: “I came from Beaumont, came from nowhere, came from nothing–worked my way up,” he has said. That suggests he’s not done yet.
