Ray Hunt

Executive Chairman

As one of 15 children of legendary wildcatter H.L. Hunt, Ray Hunt’s family office roots are in oil and gas, but the firm also deals in real estate. Its holdings via Hunt Realty Investments, Hoodoo Land Holdings, Hunt Investment Group and Hunt Global Partnerships include hotels, office complexes, apartments and undeveloped land, and it’s been influential in shaping North Texas.

Hunt’s legacy assets include a veritable symbol of Dallas, Reunion Tower, and the adjacent Hyatt Regency. The firm has a $5 billion plan for a mixed-use district in the Reunion area of downtown, to include 3,000 apartments, as many as 1,000 hotel keys, about 150,000 square feet of retail, up to 2 million square feet of office space, plus three or four acres for a public park between Union Station and the Trinity River. It was announced in December 2023.

Hunt Realty Investments is a partner in the massive Fields development in Frisco, which includes the headquarters of PGA of America. The 2,500-acre-plus development will have 10,000 single-family homes and about 18 million square feet of commercial space.

The firm, which holds a diversified real estate portfolio across Texas, sold 120 acres in the northeastern Dallas suburb Terrell for a distribution center in 2025.
