Steve Lieberman

Steve Lieberman is the CEO and co-chairman of The Retail Connection LP, a Dallas-based real estate advisory, brokerage, investment, and management firm focused exclusively on retail. Lieberman and partner Alan Shor, who serves as president, have established The Retail Connection as a leading player in the retail real estate sector, representing over 300 national retail and restaurant chains and managing more than 30 million square feet of retail space across Texas and North America.

The firm also operates Connected Development, a development arm with a stake in Manor Crossing, an 18-acre retail center in suburban Austin, linking with a family office that owns the land.

Lieberman has also overseen the firm’s recent involvement in several high-profile projects, partnering with Trammell Crow Company on a 12-story office building redevelopment at 4544 McKinney Avenue in Dallas, which is expected to include ground-floor retail space and aims for completion in 2028. Additionally, the company is collaborating on the Haggard Farm project, a $750 million mixed-use development in Plano, which will feature retail, residential spaces and green areas. The first phase includes approximately 100,000 square feet of retail, set to open as early as 2027. Lieberman is the brother-in-law of Michael Dell, a Texas legend and prolific real estate investor in his own right.
