Tatiana Pino
Pino’s story reads like a 10-episode arc of prestige TV.
She inherited control of Century Homebuilders Group — the largest Hispanic-owned homebuilder in the United States — after the death of her estranged husband, Sergio Pino, in July 2024.
Sergio died by suicide when an FBI SWAT team arrived at his home to arrest him in connection with an alleged murder-for-hire plot against his wife. Federal authorities said Sergio hired teams of hitmen to have Tatiana killed amid a nasty divorce.
The Coral Gables–based Century Homebuilders Group was founded in 1995 and has completed more than 16,000 homes, with a focus on entry-level and workforce housing across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Since assuming ownership, Pino has been navigating the complexities of grasping control of the company while maintaining operational continuity.
She has been in legal battles with brother-in-law Carlos Pino and her late husband’s longtime mistress over claims to his assets.
Carlos forfeited his stake in Century Homebuilders as part of a 2025 settlement with Tatiana. Her stewardship marks a pivotal moment for one of the region’s most prominent homebuilding firms.
