Taylor Sheridan
Taylor Sheridan made his name mythologizing the modern West. He’s also been busy buying it.
The creator of hit TV show Yellowstone — and its prequels 1883 and 1923 — has quietly assembled a sprawling real estate portfolio that mirrors the landscapes powering his television empire. In 2023, Sheridan helped secure a $200 million allocation for the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program, underscoring his growing influence in the state’s film and development ecosystem.
Sheridan’s landholdings are substantial. He bought the roughly 600-acre Bosque Ranch outside Fort Worth in 2013, anchoring what would become both a working ranch and a production hub. In 2022, he joined a buyer group that acquired the historic 6666 Ranch, a 266,000-acre cattle operation that now doubles as a Yellowstone filming location. He also owns Papa’s Creek Ranch in Star Valley, Wyoming.
Sheridan and his family divide their time between Bosque and the 6666, blurring the line between set and homestead. He’s also expanded into hospitality, partnering with David Glasser and Dan Schryer to purchase Cattlemen’s Steakhouse, which is being renovated to include expanded dining, live music, private events and a members-only club.
