Armando and Ana-Marie Codina

Executive Chairman, Chief Executive Officer

The Codinas typify the Cuban-American Miami fairytale.
They are the father-daughter duo at the helm of Codina Partners, a Coral Gables-based real estate development, investment and management firm with a longstanding presence in South Florida.
Amando immigrated at the age of 14 as part of Operation Pedro Pan, making him one the 14,000 unaccompanied Cuban minors to enter the U.S. as part of the program. He spent a few years bouncing between a New Jersey orphanage and foster homes until he was able to join his mother in Miami.
Ana-Marie serves as CEO, guiding the firm’s strategic direction, operations, and growth.
Their most ambitious project has been Downtown Doral, a place-defining 250-acre mixed-use development at the heart of the Miami-Dade County city. The complex consists of 660,000 square feet of office, a retail district with more than 40 shops and restaurants and 5,000 residences, including single-family houses, townhomes and condos. The master planned development also includes Doral’s city hall, a Publix, two charter schools and a University of Miami UHealth medical center.
“I am very lucky that Cuba was only 90 miles away from this country. I am very lucky that my mother made the hard choice to send me here,” Armando said in a 2025 interview with the magazine Aqua Pinecrest. “Everything I have, I owe America.”
