The Trump Family

Founder; Co-Executive Vice Presidents

A little over a year ago, Donald Trump ascended to the highest office in the land for the second time. His real estate ties are less apparent than in his past life, but he and his family are still making moves in the industry, particularly abroad.

The Trump Organization, now led by Don Jr. and Eric Trump, continues to generate significant income from real estate deals, particularly overseas name-licensing, during their father’s second term.

Overseas licensing deals have generated at least $23 million since his re-election with more than 20 projects in the pipeline, including developments in Oman and Vietnam.

The reliance on foreign cooperation for real estate projects has drawn scrutiny due to the perception of an overlap between the business deals and favorable policy decisions. Ethics concerns haven’t deterred the Trump clan during either of the presidential terms, though.

That doesn’t mean every project is moving full-steam ahead. The first official collaboration between the Trump Organization and Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners fell apart amid scandal surrounding the Trump Tower development in Belgrade, Serbia.

The planned two-skyscraper project was to be built on the site of the former Yugoslav army headquarters, which was destroyed by NATO bombing and had its protected status removed to allow the $500 million development to proceed.
