Vlad Doronin

Chairman, Aman Resorts and OKO Group

Doronin operates at the intersection of ultra-luxury hospitality, trophy real estate and global capital, controlling the Aman Resorts brand while assembling one of Miami’s most sprawling development portfolios.

The billionaire started OKO Group in 2015, launching projects that included Missoni Baia, with the Italian fashion house, in Miami’s Edgewater; Una Residences, which is under construction in Brickell; 830 Brickell, an office tower in Brickell and the delayed Aman Miami Beach development, the latter of which is backed by Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries. Tenants at 830 Brickell include Microsoft, Kirkland and Ellis, and Rothschild & Co. In Palm Beach, OKO Group and Cain International, a frequent partner of Doronin’s, paid $147 million for two co-ops, the Edgewater House and the Ambassador Palm Beach, which the two firms plan to redevelop.

In 2025, Doronin sold his waterfront Star Island estate for $120 million, setting a record for home sales in Miami-Dade. He recently has linked with Jonathan Goldstein as a backer of Cain (see related entry).

In 2022, Doronin filed a summons against The Real Deal, alleging the publication libeled him in an article about a protest near his project, but did not pursue the litigation. That same year, he also filed a defamation and libel suit against the Aspen Times. Both of the lawsuits reflect his aggressive efforts to push back on being publicly labeled as an “oligarch.”
