A century-old Spanish-style home with a rare private backyard pool has hit the market in San Francisco’s Forest Hill neighborhood.

The 5,736-square-foot home, on the corner of 127 Castenada Avenue and Magellan Avenue, is asking $5.26 million, SFGATE reported. The five-bedroom, five-bath home is surrounded by a brick fence in the valley below Twin Peaks and Mount Sutro.

Built in 1906, it sits on a more-than quarter acre plot equivalent to two city parcels.
Original architecture includes hardwood floors, built-ins and moldings, along with modern additions such as a larger kitchen, refinished attic space and new soaking tubs.

The primary bedroom suite, which is located on the second level with three other bedrooms, has a walk-in closet and a seating area that could serve as a home office. The upper level holds another bedroom as well as a family room and bathroom.

The property has manicured gardens, a sports court, outdoor kitchen and dining area and a swimming pool. Just 14 homes in the Bay Area metropolis have backyard pools, listing agent Herman Chan told SFGATE.

The home also has a four-car garage, a game room, a play room and a private home theater in the basement.
