A Nob Hill penthouse is under contract for $6.99 million, marking the priciest San Francisco condo this year if it sells at price.

Penthouse 2 at 875 California Street has a pending offer, according to Zillow. At that price, it would dethrone a $5 million unit at 488 Folsom Street that sold in January.

The price would be a far cry from the most expensive condo listed for sale in the city. That title goes to the only penthouse available in The Pacific, which is asking $24.5 million. That home took three years to design and build and has five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, a sauna and amenities such as wall-mounted panels that control climate, lighting, shading, entertainment media and security.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom California Street penthouse is one of four in the eight-story Crescent Nob Hill development, which has 44 residences and was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Champalimaud. The penthouses have living rooms that open to wraparound terraces and private ones that connect to the main level by a private staircase.

Amenities include access to the Secret Garden and SkyLine view roof terrace with an outdoor kitchen. It also has a fitness center with yoga studio and the Drawing Room residents’ lounge. Valet parking and a 24-hour attended lobby are also features of the Crescent.
