Manufacturers and R&D firm fill buildings at Bassett Technology Park

Hines has scored 175,000 square feet of new or renewed R&D and manufacturing leases at its business campus in Santa Clara.

A fund sponsored by the Houston-based developer has inked deals for two new office leases for 101,000 square feet in Bassett Technology Park at 3508-3580 Bassett Street, the San Jose Mercury News and the Silicon Valley Business Journal reported. 

A third lease was renewed for 74,000 square feet. Terms of the leases were not disclosed.

The unidentified Hines-led fund bought the business campus on Highway 101 and Montague Expressway in 2020 for an undisclosed price.

Bassett Technology Park has six single-story buildings for R&D and manufacturing, not far from San Jose Mineta International Airport and Levi’s Stadium.

Michigan-based EOTech, an optics firm that makes scopes and gunsights for law enforcement, military and civil weaponry, leased 75,400 square feet.

Evoloh, a green hydrogen tech company based in the city, leased 25,600 square feet for a new headquarters and research office.

Locally based Intevac, a maker of thin-film processing systems for semiconductors, extended a lease for its 74,000-square-foot headquarters.

Intevac’s lease renewal represented the third-largest transaction in terms of volume in the fourth quarter in Silicon Valley, according to the Business Journal.

The largest was an undisclosed lease of 108,600 square feet at 3475 Deer Creek Road in Palo Alto, followed by a lease renewal by Finesse Solutions for 90,100 square feet e at 3301-3311 Leonard Court in Santa Clara.

The Bassett Technology Park leases were handled by brokers Steve Horton, Jon DeCoite and Kelly Yoder of Cushman & Wakefield.
