Resources for Community Development wants to build 91 affordable apartments in San Jose.

The Berkeley-based affordable housing developer has filed preliminary plans for a complex at 520 West Alma Avenue, in Willow Glen, the San Jose Mercury News reported.

The project would rise next to the Guadalupe River, west of Guadalupe Parkway.

The nonprofit developer aims to employ SB 330 for streamlined approval for affordable housing.

Lisa Blickenstaff, based in Irvine, owns the 0.6 acres property. It wasn’t clear whether Resources for Community Development intends to buy the land.
