“The reality we are facing in the real estate business world in the midst of the pandemic has prompted a modification of guidelines, habits and practices that will have an impact even after the end of the health crisis is declared” says German Rosete.
In this sense, entreprenuer Rosete notes that business leaders need to consider two important facts:
- The dynamics of remote work requires more trust in workers. This is something that must be strengthened to overcome authoritarian leadership and create a climate of trust.
- Technology has been an essential ally. However, it is people who count and make our businesses work. Leaders should not lose sight of the usefulness of human training and updates.
As a leader, it is important to form professional work teams that create a sense of belonging and value in workers. While it has been done remotely, in the return to face-to-face work, leaders will have to adapt to more collaborative work that creates more meaningful work.
After all, companies function precisely to the extent that those who make them up do their part and structure an effective organization.

“Based on my experience and through dialogue with others, I believe that the following guidelines help in times of uncertainty,” says Rosete.
- Acceptance of a problem works better than avoidance or denial. To achieve this successfully, it is important to manage emotions well.
- Conveying security is a key aspect. While recognizing a problem or risk, an image of security must be maintained by leadership so that the whole team remains attentive to their work.
- Communication at different levels and according to the responsibilities of each person is a factor that must be taken care of to achieve the two previous points.
- As a leader, a clear mind that listens to reason, handles emotions well and empathizes with the feelings of others helps to make decisions and find the right solutions.
Every company, every business and even every person can go through a moment of crisis. It is necessary to anticipate this. A professional team that is well formed and feels listened to and considered will be essential to help to navigate those moments and arrive in a good port.
Technology in education
On the other hand, the businessman and entrepreneur wants to bring new technology projects in education to the Dominican Republic. These new technological platforms facilitate learning. “Today we realize that education in Latin America is very backward, the way we technologically educate children requires improvements. We have been developing a project, an educational technology platform where we can help Dominican private and public schools to teach in a much more friendly way. As we are seeing today because of the pandemic, the future of education goes through the digital world,” Rosete says.
Business diversification for Cosmos Global Holding is one of the identifying through lines of its policy. “We have always sought to diversify so as not to put our portfolio at risk,” noted Rosete. The energy sector is, by importance, its main investment segment, while the technology sector has become the second area of activity. “We believe that the technology sector will be the fastest growing in the future, [and] we are very interested in bringing technology projects to the Dominican Republic as we are already doing in Mexico and the United States,” adds the Mexican entrepreneur.
International Projects
Rosete is preparing his entry into the Dominican market through the investment group Cosmos Global Holding, of which he is the president and main promoter. Rosete explains that among the sectors he is analyzing to start new projects are real estate, new technology, and green energy. He praised the stability of the government of President Luis Abinader and his willingness to help and encourage foreign private initiative that wishes to invest in the country.
The Dominican Republic can be ranked among the top tourist destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America.
Cosmos Global Holding is a Mexican corporation founded a decade ago with investments, through more than forty companies, in sectors as diverse and strategic as oil, gas, venture capital, real estate and new technologies. With interests also in Colombia and the United States, Rosete believes that the time has come to bet on the opportunities offered by the Dominican Republic market. “The first thing we analyze is that the country has a stable government with the purpose of helping the private initiative to invest. In this case, the Dominican Republic has it. We like the government of President Abinader”, he assures.
One of the most advanced projects for the Dominican Republic, according to Rosete, is the development of housing, commercial and office real estate under a single concept. The development of urban complexes in beach areas that bring together the three areas in the same place, something that Cosmos Global Holding has already achieved in Mexico with a very good reception in the market. In this sense, Rosete’s plans look towards the southern Dominican Republic, where the Pedernales Tourism Development Project will be located and where public-private collaboration will be fundamental and it is there where “we want to help the Caribbean country grow in terms of tourism”.
The story of German Rosete
The story of German Rosete López de Llergo begins in Sinaloa, a Mexican state he identifies for its exquisite gastronomy and its people, among whom he was educated and raised during his childhood and adolescence.
Since he was a child, German was very restless. His curiosity for physical activity was transformed into a passion for sports, which helped him to recognize discipline as an important value from an early age.
Of all the sports he practiced, basketball was one of his favorites, which is why at some point he wanted to become a professional basketball player. However, his path took a different direction.
When he finished high school, he decided to study Business Administration at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. There, in the city of Monterrey, he began to consolidate his interest in the business world.
His university life was marked by the beginning of several friendships, due to German’s social character. In addition, he continued to practice basketball, baseball and athletics. Exercise and sports continue to be a fundamental axis of his life.
When he was 20 years old, he began his professional career. Although German Rosete is today a reference in the Mexican business world, at the beginning there were some failures: ventures that failed to consolidate.
However, German did not give up and, over time, he experienced better results and, above all, acquired the necessary experience to become involved in more business projects and form strategic alliances.

He chairs the Mexican foundation Better People For the World, whose Ayuda a Vivir program has helped thousands of people who do not have the resources to travel to and stay in Mexico City for medical treatment. That is why Rosete also plans to transfer this type of social initiatives to the Dominican Republic because “it doesn’t seem fair to me that, as a businessman, I am very successful in one area generating good money financially and that, on the other hand, we do not have the human quality to be able to help other people to prosper in their lives”.
The foundation “Ayuda a vivir” (Help to live)
German Rosete does not think of social responsibility as mere altruism; that is, it is not just a matter of giving financial resources to projects and then disengaging. On the contrary, he prefers participation beyond financing.

From a close experience, German became aware of a problem that hardly attracted the attention of other people and that does not have an action plan from the institutions involved.
As is the case with other services, a large part of high specialty medical care is centralized in Mexico. For this reason, hundreds of people a year have to travel from other states to Mexico City.
Of this large number of people, German observed that many do not have sufficient resources to pay for a stay in the capital; sometimes they sleep in the waiting rooms, even on the floor. These are inhumane conditions for those seeking medical attention or those accompanying them.
Because of this Rosete created the foundation, “Ayuda a vivir” which has provided services to more than 24,000 people. The program operates as follows: social work personnel from some of the capital’s specialty hospitals channel patients and their companions to a shelter.
There, men, women and children not only have access to beds where they can rest and sleep, but also to breakfast, lunch and dinner, all with nutritious contents, and to showers, so that they can wash whenever they wish.
The shelter also offers them some workshops, such as meditation, yoga, handicrafts or even thanatology. The aim is to offer them a dignified stay for the duration of the patient’s treatment. There is also support for the return trip.
Of course, all this is largely made possible by donations from companies and individuals. “Ayuda a vivir” plans to expand the capacity of the shelters and build one designed specifically for this purpose.
However, the most immediate challenge is in returning to regular operations, as the pandemic has prevented its operation. In 2020, it was possible to maintain service for only the first quarter, during which just over 1,000 people were served.
German Rosete always seeks to be involved as much as possible with the program. He participates in the events, celebrations or posadas, to name a few, and listens to their stories, listens to their comments about the services.
One of her greatest satisfactions as a person is witnessing the treatment and recovery of children with terrible diseases, such as cancer. Knowing that he was able to help these children and their families in some way during this bitter time motivates him to continue looking for new ways to support them.

Museums also have a special attraction for him. Of the many he has visited, he always returns to the National Museum of Mexican History, located in Chapultepec Castle, for its architecture and contents.
Regarding movies, he declares himself a fan of the Star Wars saga, because besides being entertaining, he sees in it valuable social commentaries. His favorite band is The Beatles and he always includes them in his playlists.
An animal lover, she has always had dogs as pets. Dogs demonstrate a very important value for German: loyalty. Outside of pets, he admires dolphins very much.
Finally, like every human being, he has flaws: according to him, lack of patience is the most serious. Fortunately, meditation techniques have given him tools to counteract his impatience.
