Ukpasia Realty is one of the most innovative, creative, and forward-thinking real estate companies in NYC. March 2022 will make a full year since Ukpasia Realty Group has officially opened its doors for business. Their main office resides in the International Plaza building Located in Midtown East, directly across from Mike Bloomberg’s corporate headquarters. Since opening their doors, Ukpasia Realty Group has seen instant success. In its first 9 months in business, they rented 137 apartments, completed 11 sales transactions, and successfully rehabbed 3 fix and flip projects in NYC.

Ukpasia’s success is not a surprise to many. It’s founding broker, Osamuede “Ede” Egharevba comes from a strong political and real estate background. He was born and raised in Queens, NY. His parents, Usunobun & Hilda Egharevba, met here in NYC but are both immigrants from Benin City, Nigeria. His paternal grandfather, Joseph Egharevba, was a real estate professional that dominated Benin City local markets. His maternal grandfather, Peter Airhiavbere, was an accountant who worked in London for seven years. In his retirement he served the Edo Kingdom through the Palace. Egharevba’s uncle, General Charles Airhiavbere, served as Edo State’s Commander of the Army Finance Corps, he then ran as the flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2012 governorship election in Edo State.

Prior to embarking on this real estate path, Ede Egharevba attended 4 universities in 5 years where he was able to obtain 4 degrees, all while being on scholarship as a member of the men’s basketball programs. He holds an associate degree from Midland College, two bachelor’s degrees from the University at Albany, and a master’s in information technology from North Carolina A&T. At only 29 years of age, Egharevba, is now focused on expanding his brokerage in NYC. When asked what his end goal is, he stated “my end goal is to develop commercial office spaces and high-rise residential buildings in NYC and other hot markets across the country. I would also love to meet the real estate titan, Don Peebles. He showed individuals like myself that anything is possible in America. Ukpasia is still very green but when it’s all said and done, I want the brokerage to be mentioned with the Keller Williams, Douglas Elliman, Compass, Corcoran’s, and EXP’s of the world. Something elite.”
