A multifamily developer from Georgia reportedly has six apartment complexes in the pipeline in the Bayou City, but its Houston affiliate claims to know nothing about them.

Davis Development, which is based outside Atlanta in Stockbridge, GA, has five complexes under construction in the Houston area and a sixth in the planning stage, the Houston Business Journal reports.

Three are listed on Davis Development’s own website: Botanic Luxury Living Apartments on Holzwarth Road in Spring, Linz Luxury Living Apartments on Morton Ranch Road in Katy and Cendana District West Apartments just south of the Westpark Tollway.

ApartmentData.com lists two additional projects: the 318-unit Sire Kingwood on Stowbridge Drive, which has an expected September 2022 move-in date, and the 250-unit Vintage Preserve in the Louetta area near Willowbrook Mall, which has an expected move-in date of April 2023.

Lastly, on July 12, Fort Bend County approved a plan application by Davis to develop on a 11.5-acre tract on the northside of Westpark Tollway east of Peek Road. The site lies between an Exxon gas station and Charleston, South Carolina-based Greystar’s Cyan Cinco Ranch Apartments. However, according to Fort Bend County engineer Rick Staigle, the Georgia developer has yet to submit its updated development plans for the proposed Peek Road Apartments.

Despite confirming the developments with Fort Bend County and ApartmentData.com, when the HBJ contacted Davis, reporters were referred several times to the company’s sister company TX Morrow Construction Inc. in Houston. However, the representative who answered the phone there told the business journal she had no information on the Houston-area developments and declined to comment further.

Davis is no stranger to the Lone Star State. Last year, Davis snapped up one of the last large development sites in Craig Ranch’s McKinney Corporate Center. The company reportedly bought more than 11 acres north of State Highway 121 west of Alma Road with plans for two apartment buildings. Davis did not provide comment when the Dallas Business Journal reported on the sale in October and there has not been an update from the company since.
