First America Homes is building out its footprint in the Alamo City.

The Houston-based homebuilding division of the Signorelli Company, announced plans for 100 homes in Jordan’s Ranch, located just off South Loop 1604 west of Highway 281. Jordan’s Ranch will be the first new home acreage community in that area of San Antonio, with homesites ranging from a half-acre to over a full acre, according to the San Antonio Business Journal.

Construction and presales will begin in the first quarter of next year, and the homes will be ready for delivery about six months later.

Pricing has not yet been determined.

Earlier this summer, First America announced ambitious plans to build 500 new homes per year in the San Antonio area, most going into its Hickory Ridge community in Elmendorf. That development will eventually have 3,000 homes, with sales starting by the end of this year.

San Antonio is attracting ever more attention from developers as the state’s spiraling home prices have priced potential homebuyers out neighboring Austin.
