The investment and development platform of Houston-based Partners, Partners Capital, has announced the appointment of land expert Dan T. Moody to lead its land investment strategy.

Partners recently opened up a new office in Dallas and has rebranded from “NAI Partners” to simply “Partners” after ending affiliation with NAI Global to run independently. It is now the 2nd-largest partner-operated, privately-held, and independently-owned commercial real estate firm in Texas.

Moody will serve as a Managing Director for Partners Capital and help launch its Partners Land Fund I later this month. He previously served for over 11 years as Vice President of Parkside Capital, which has invested over $285 million in assets in the Houston MSA.

His notable transactions include acquiring 125 acres for the University Center at the northeast corner of I-10 and Grand Parkway, and Magnolia Commercial Reserve, where he acquired 29.25 acres in the rapidly growing city of Magnolia, Texas.

➤ Dallas-based Crow Holdings has announced the appointment of Don Brooks as its Head of Sustainability. Brooks previously served as vice president of multifamily services at the Irving-based US-Eco Logic/TexEnergy Solutions, one of the world’s largest providers of sustainable building services for single-family and multifamily developers, as well as both the due diligence manager and director of sustainability for Houston-based Dinerstein Companies.

➤ CBRE has promoted Teri Garcia to the role of Managing Director of Property Management for the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Garcia has over 25 years of property management experience in Dallas-Fort Worth, working with companies like Trammel Crow before moving to CBRE in 2004. Brooke Armstrong, CBRE’s President of Advisory Services for Dallas-Fort Worth, attributed her promotion to Garcia’s leadership ability and reputation.

➤ Dallas-based Mohr Partners has selected financial services and commercial real estate veteran Ben Fujihara to lead the firm’s national brokerage recruiting program.

The company said the hire was part of its plan for doubling its headcount over the next five years to facilitate a long-term growth plan. CEO and Chairman Robert Shibuya cited Fujihara’s strong track record of helping recruit over 100 brokers at his previous firm.

Fujihara worked at New York-based Morgan Stanley for 20 years as an executive leader for the firm’s North Texas operations, and most recently served as Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Fischer Solutions in Dallas.

➤ The commercial branch of Dallas-based Rogers Healy and Associates, RHA Commercial, has added veteran broker Steve Tiemann to its team.

Tiemann has over 35 years of expertise in commercial real estate as well as financial and legal practice, and is joining one of the most rapidly growing realty companies in the nation. RHA Commercial reached $1 billion in volume last year and has 52 agents across the brokerage.

RHA Commercial cited Tiemann’s track record of maximizing ROI for investors, developers, and owners of retail, office, multifamily, and mixed-use properties, and even quick-service restaurants. He also has extensive experience in NNN lease properties and build-to-suit developments.
