Austin-based High 5 Entertainment is coming to Dallas-Fort Worth.

High 5, a corporate event and family entertainment venue is set to open its third location — and first in North Texas — in The Farm mixed-use development in Allen, the Dallas Business Journal reports.

The entertainment company opened its first location in the rural Austin suburb of Lakeway in 2016. Two years later, it expanded into central Austin. Now, High 5 is headed north to the greater DFW area. In a news release announcing the deal, Scott Emley, president of High 5 said the company was honored to be The Farm’s “entertainment anchor.”

The Farm, spearheaded by Allen-based JaRyCo Development and the Johnson family, is a 135-acre mixed-use development built around the cowboy-aesthetic. The property has been owned by the Johnson family since 1964. For a long time, it operated as a working farm, but also as community space for people to enjoy the countryside. Now, that farm is the site of The Farm, which is slated to open in the late fall of 2023.

Upon completion, The Farm will feature 1.6 million square feet of office space, 142,000 square feet of retail space and 60,000 square feet of restaurant space. Residential plans for the development include a 2,400-unit townhome complex. The natural amenities of the Johnson family’s land will also be preserved through several park areas: a 1.5-acre man-made lake with a boardwalk, as well as hiking and bike trails with a 16-acre greenbelt along Watters Creek.

High 5 Entertainment has acquired three acres for its location. With more space than its other locations, the High 5 Allen will also have escape rooms and a miniature golf course.

“With a heavily landscaped miniature golf course plus options like ax throwing, virtual reality attractions and a full bar and scratch kitchen,” says JaRyCo President Bruce Heller, “High 5 will offer something for everyone, and we are so glad to have them join The Farm.”
