The first phase of De La Vega Development’s massive mixed-use project in Dallas is now underway.

StreetLights Residential has just begun construction on a 351-unit apartment tower in the 27-acre The Central development, according to The Dallas Morning News. StreetLights has recently moved back into the Dallas market with a 234,000-square-foot, 56-unit high-rise project in the works as well.

This is the first of many projects underway for the progression of this $2.5 billion development, announced back in March of this year.

The Central is one of the largest mixed-use projects in the city of Dallas, which has no shortage of other developments in the pipeline. According to the publication, De La Vega is planning to bring over 4 million square feet of office, residential, and retail space, as well as a large central park to the project.
