Lang Partners is expanding its Dallas portfolio with a 297-unit apartment complex in the heart of Richardson’s growing tech district.

The $38 million development is being built at 111 Spring Valley Road, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The 259,000 square-foot project will start construction in May and should be complete by 2025.

The company’s multifamily projects tend to be considered high end apartments with amenities like fitness centers and pools. Exact construction cost estimates nor expected lease rates were disclosed by Lang Partners in the filing.

The project will be located near Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s Spring Valley Station just off the U.S. 75 highway. The city of Richardson calls this area The Telecom Corridor, since it’s a major hub for technology and communication companies such as AT&T, Verizon and Samsung.

Lang Partners is working to establish a larger foothold in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with multifamily projects already in Oak Cliff, Uptown, Medical District and Fort Worth.

According to planning documents filed with the city, the company is also working to get approval for an apartment tower and other rental units near Katy Trail, a popular pedestrian corridor that spans Dallas from Highland Park to Uptown. The Carlisle on the Creek development would include over 300-units in a luxury high-rise off Hall and Carlisle streets.
