A legacy Dallas law firm just signed for its third new office space since 2020.
Haynes and Boone joins the growing list of companies expanding their office space rather than reducing it to accommodate hybrid schedules. The 52-year-old law firm is moving into an 11,000-square-foot space in the Pinnacle Tower at 5005 LBJ Freeway, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Located in the Dallas submarket of Farmers Branch, the 24-story highrise will serve as an expansion for Haynes and Boone. Documents filed with the state show the firm intends to move early next year.
“This will be a new office for some of our professional staff and will not replace any of our other offices,” Haynes and Boone’s Nathan Koppel said in an email.
Across the country, particularly in Texas, commercial real estate players have been making big bets on amenity-rich office spaces luring companies back into long-term leases. However, this recent transaction appears to be a longtime in the making. Built in 1986, the 570,000-square-foot Pinnacle Tower had its last big renovation in 2018.
Meanwhile, Haynes and Boone has closed on two other lofty office leases since 2020. One was an almost 30,000-square-foot office space in the $3 billion Legacy West development in Plano. The other, a 125,000-square-foot lease in the new Harwood 14 office highrise, is set to be the firm’s new headquarters when the building is finished next year.
