Two of Austin’s toop residential real estate companies are joining forces.

Dochen Realtors and Bramlett Residential will merge at the start of the new year, the Austin Business Journal reported. The companies will operate under the name Dochen Realty Group at Bramlett Residential.

“Dochen Realtors has a phenomenal reputation in the community for very good reason,” Bramlett co-founder Eric Bramlett told the outlet. “Every Dochen agent brings incredible market and industry knowledge to their clients, and just as importantly, they have a strong commitment to their fiduciary duties and five-star customer service.”

Dochen’s 10-person team will integrate with Bramlett’s 50-person team of agents, brokers and support and have access to Bramlett’s updated technology system.

Dochen, founded in 1991 by Carol Dochen, will keep its offices at 4501 Spicewood Springs Road.

“It’s a right-time, right-fit joining of two agencies mutually committed to understanding and serving locally,” she said.

The merger marks the combination of two of the most productive real estate players in Austin. Dochen Realtors’ Dochen team, which consists of Arlene Maze, Nancy Taute and Dochen, ranked No. 3 on Austin Business Journal’s 2022 list of top residential real estate teams of two-to-three people. The team closed on 124 home sales in 2021, netting $108 million in gross sales. Bramlett Residential’s team of Tara McGuire, Meredith Alderson, Will Mackintosh and Bramlett ranked No. 1 on the publication’s 2017 list of top residential real estate teams of four-to-seven agents.

Last month two North Texas firms merged as well. Frisco-based Rockhill Capital & Investments and McKinney-based Horizon Capital Partners became one company in a move that will allow it to “target a wider range of real estate investments and bolster its development activity across the region.”
