Urban amenities enticed a battery-recycling company to move its global headquarters from Los Colinas to Uptown Dallas.
Ecobat subleased more than 28,000 square feet in the 20-story, PwC Tower at 2121 Pearl Street, in a sublease from the building’s namesake tenant, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, the Dallas Morning News reports. The terms weren’t disclosed.
Rick Hughes and Joel Zandstra of Cushman & Wakefield negotiated the lease with Ben Davis and Harlan Davis of CBRE Group.
Trammell Crow Company built the 500,000-square-foot highrise in its Park District development alongside Klyde Warren Park, in 2018. It’s adjacent to Trammell Crow’s luxury residential tower and retail including Perry’s Steakhouse and Yardbird Southern Table.
Ecobat, founded in Europe in the 1800s, is the world leader in battery recycling and lead production, with facilities in Europe, Africa and North and South America, according to its website. The company hopes to retain and attract employees with the move.
