A Mediterranean-style home in the hills of San Antonio hit the market for just shy of $7 million.

The six-bedroom home at 10 Crescent Park was the most expensive home to land on the market in the city last week, with an asking price of $6.9 million, the San Antonio Express-News reported. That’s about $657 per square foot. Built in 2006, the 10,500-square-foot home sits on a gated corner lot within the wealthy master-planned community of Dominion.

The home has nine full bathrooms as well as a half bath and a separate guest house that has its own private entrance.

Throughout the mansion and guest apartment, there are vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. The updated chef’s kitchen has a “large beveled bullnose eat-in granite island” that opens out onto the adjacent family room, which has a hand-carved cantera fireplace and exposed wood-beam ceiling.

The palatial estate is “nothing short of spectacular,” said listing agent Binkan Cinaroglu of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty.

The resort-style swimming pool, which features hand-laid mosaic tiles, is surrounded by stone and brick decking and has an attached jacuzzi. The backyard has three tiers of entertaining space, according to the listing.

The sellers recently re-stuccoed the exterior and refinished the wood floors throughout the inside.

About a year ago, Country music star George Strait sold another home within Dominion. Shannon Ralson, owner of a San Antonio medical staffing company Angel Staffing, bought the home for an undisclosed price. That home had been listed for $6.9 million before it sold.

About miles south, in Alamo Heights, the former home of the wife of the founder of Luby’s Cafeteria landed on the market asking almost $2 million. The home, which is across the street from the Argyle Club, is located within an exclusive inner-city enclave.
