Shawn M. Street joins Stream, Alec Almuina to Compass, CBRE acquires Millman

A land development firm based in Austin has handed the reins to a second generation. Michael Linehan will succeed his father, Paul Linehan, as president of Land Strategies Inc. Paul Linehan will remain chairman of the company, which he founded in 1983. It has about 18 employees. Michael Linehan, who is also an architect, joined the firm in 2018.

Stream Realty Partners has recruited Shawn M. Street to serve as a vice president of its land division in Dallas. Street will work alongside senior vice president Demian Salmon to expand the firm’s land brokerage business across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Street was a senior vice president with Younger Partners and founded Street & Associates prior to joining Stream.

Compass picked up a new face in Alec Almuina, who started his career in Midland before moving to New York City, where he worked for Douglas Elliman. Now he’s back in his home state and working for Compass in Austin.

Dallas-based CBRE has acquired Millman National Land Services, a provider of land surveying services nationwide. Millman, which is based in Canton, Ohio, and has a presence in the Mexican state of Querétero, has about 75 employees. Its services include American Land Title Association and National Society of Professional Surveyors surveys, as well as telecommunications/cell tower surveys, zoning reports and real estate compliance consulting.

Paceline Equity Partners, a Dallas-based private equity firm, is moving from Oak Lawn to Turtle Creek, the Dallas Morning News reported. The firm leased a 12,500-square-foot space on the sixth floor of Turtle Creek Village and will vacate its office on Hall Street. The 18-story Turtle Creek Village was constructed in 1973, and Los Angeles-based CIM Group bought it in 2018.

The global law firm Womble Bond Dickinson moved its Houston office into almost 20,000 square feet at the Hines-owned 717 Texas Avenue, the Houston Chronicle reported. The new office is about 15 percent larger than the outpost’s previous home at 811 Main Street.
