Radio’s Lady Jade to eXp, Paceline’s new Dallas digs, W.E. O’Neil’s Texas move

Two commercial real estate brokers have left CBRE Group in Dallas to move into executive roles with another firm. Jihane Boury and Clay Vaughn are now vice chairmen in the Dallas office of Savills, the Dallas Morning News reported. Boury was previously a senior vice president and represented clients including Orix and Lument. Vaughn was an executive vice president at CBRE and formerly worked for Newmark.

A sweetheart of the radio is making real estate her main squeeze. Lady Jade, who departed KKDA’s nationally syndicated DeDe in the Morning in August, has joined eXp Realty in Dallas, according to a news release. Also known as Jade Burrowes, the 46-year-old was already a real estate investor and is now under the mentorship of eXp’s DeLisa Rose.

A Dallas-based private equity firm has made its home in one of the city’s hottest submarkets. Paceline Equity Partners leased 12,500 square feet on the sixth floor of Turtle Creek Village, an 18-story building at 3838 Oak Lawn Avenue, which is owned by CIM Group, the Dallas Morning News reported.

A Louisiana-based design and engineering firm has put down roots in San Antonio. WDG | Architects Engineers took a partial-floor lease in the Pacific Plaza building at 14100 San Pedro Avenue, the San Antonio Business Journal reported. Felix Ziga, formerly of Ziga Architecture Studio, is the studio director. The outpost has five employees and would like to have 10 by next year, the outlet reported. WDG serves a major Texas client in the oil and gas industry.

Amegy Bank is developing its partnership with a Houston-based networking startup. The Cannon, a network for entrepreneurs, startups and investors, opened a 14,000-square-foot office inside an Amegy branch at 4576 Research Forest Drive, the Houston Business Journal reported. Amegy and the Cannon opened a co-working space, called the Downtown Launch Pad, together in 2019. The Cannon has six locations in the Houston area and is looking to open a location in Conroe, the outlet reported.

W.E. O’Neil, a century-old construction firm from Chicago, is now a name to know in Austin. The firm bought Austin-based DCA Construction last year, and the local builder will take on the name W.E. O’Neil on June 1, the Austin Business Journal reported. It is W.E. O’Neil’s first Texas office.
