Here’s what else is shaking in Texas real estate:

Irma Sanchez is the new president and CEO of the Westchase District, a nonprofit economic development corporation that promotes the Houston neighborhood.

Sanchez succeeds Charly Weldon, who served in the interim after Jim Murphy retired in May, the Houston Business Journal reported.

Murphy had served as president and CEO of the district since its inception in 1995. Weldon will stay on with the district as a consultant. Sanchez has worked for the district for nearly 24 years and has served as vice president of projects since 2008.

New York-based Rockefeller Group has tapped a former HInes executive to help it put down roots in Texas for the first time, Bisnow reported.

Rockefeller has hired Houston-based Philip Croker to lead its southwest division, focusing on Texas and Arizona.

Rockefeller owns multiple office towers in New York City; it is developing a 60-story mixed-use tower in Atlanta, and bought 16.5 acres in Arizona this past summer to build 152 built-to-rent homes.

In his 19 years with Hines, Crocker contributed to the development of 609 Main at Texas, Texas Tower and T3 Eastside.
