Local developer Pagewood sold its Great 290 Distribution Center near Houston to a Dallas-based investor.
Sealy & Company bought the 500,800-square-foot property, at 2120 Field Store Road in Waller, after Pagewood leased it to Japanese air conditioning company Daikin. Trent Agnew and Charlie Strauss of JLL represented Pagewood in the sale.
The 64-acre property is northwest of Houston, near Interstate 290 and Grand Parkway.

An entity connected to Houston-based Boomerang Interests is planning to build a 326,000-square-foot cold storage facility in Schertz, a suburb of San Antonio. The project is estimated to cost $54.8 million, according to a filing with the state. The cost works out to about $168 per square foot. The project is on F.M. 2252, but no specific address was given. Construction is expected to start this summer and wrap up in October 2025.
Dallas-based Jackson Shaw filed plans to build a 386,000-square-foot warehouse in Houston. The project, east of downtown at 2239 Haden Road, is estimated to cost $19.3 million, or a little over $52 per square foot, although plans are preliminary and subject to change.
A Norwegian electric truck company, Hexagon Purus, plans to spend $12 million building out a 216,000-square-foot facility in Mesquite, a suburb east of Dallas. The building, 2401 East Meadows Boulevard, will be used to install lithium ion batteries into trucks, according to a filing with the state. An entity tied to Miami-based Landmark Companies owns the property, according to county tax records.
Wire manufacturer Southwire Company plans to add 125,000 square feet to its warehouse in Denton, about 40 miles north of Dallas. The firm plans to spend $11.3 million on the addition at 2727 Geesling Road.
