Douglas Elliman’s made another shuffle within its Western region ranks, this time in Texas, The Real Deal has learned.

The brokerage promoted Melissa Webb, executive manager of sales for Austin and San Antonio, to president of brokerage for Texas. CEO Michael Liebowitz announced the move in an internal memo reviewed by TRD.

Webb has been with Elliman since 2022 when she joined the firm from Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty Austin, where she was a brokerage manager.

Liebowitz called Webb “an integral part of growing the Elliman footprint” in Austin and San Antonio since her arrival at the company.

The news comes less than a week after the brokerage’s staff and agents were informed of the departure of longtime Western region CEO Stephen Kotler. The former executive is staying with the firm as an agent on the Kotler Team in New York City, with son Max Kotler and brother Michael Kotler.

Last week’s news also came with a new regional leadership team for the region, which comprises California, Colorado, Texas and Nevada.

As part of that announcement. Catherine Lee, head of Texas new development, was named president of brokerage for the state. Meanwhile, Joshua Saslove now helms the brokerage’s Colorado business as president of brokerage there, while Peter Hernandez was named president of brokerage for California and Nevada. Bill Begert remains the region’s COO.

Lee will remain president of Texas new development and will work with Webb during the transition, Liebowitz said in the memo.

Elliman expanded into Texas through a Houston office that opened in 2019. It has since opened offices in Dallas, Austin and Lewisville.

The brokerage last month saw the departure of Tracy Tutor, a top agent with business in Beverly Hills, Dallas and Austin, to Compass. She took more than $550 million in active listings and an 18-person team to her new brokerage.
