Bimbo Bakeries USA will move its headquarters to North Texas, joining a slew of other companies migrating south.
Bimbo Bakeries USA, the American subsidiary of Mexico City-based baking company Grupo Bimbo, confirmed to the Dallas Business Journal that it’s in the process of moving its corporate headquarters from Horsham, Pennsylvania, to Irving.
Bimbo executives have already been working at the new office in the Brookwood Financial Partners’ MacArthur Plaza at 5525 North MacArthur Boulevard, according to the outlet. The nine-story building is about 187,000 square feet, according to a LoopNet listing, but the company declined to disclose what portion it would occupy.
The company owns several prominent American bread and baked snack brands, including Sara Lee, Entenmann’s and Fort Worth, Texas-based Mrs. Baird’s, which it acquired in 1998. Bimbo is the largest baking company in the country, and Grupo Bimbo is the largest in the world, having reported about $23.8 billion in net sales in 2025, according to the outlet.
The benefits of the move include a more central location and closer proximity to Grupo Bimbo’s global corporate office in Mexico, the company stated in a press release.
The announcement follows several recent interstate office moves to North Texas.
Most recently, Public Storage, the country’s largest self-storage landlord, announced in February that it plans to move its corporate office from Glendale, California, to Frisco, another northern outpost in the Metroplex.
Dallas-Fort Worth has attracted more corporate offices than any other metropolitan area in America in recent years. A hundred new company headquarters relocated to DFW between 2018 and 2024 — the most in the country, according to Visual Capitalist, exceeding the 81 companies that moved to runner-up Austin during the same period. Last year, DFW led the nation with 11 net interstate or international headquarters relocations, the Dallas Business Journal reported.
Corporations have generally favored northern cities in the Metroplex, such as Plano, Frisco and Irving, over Dallas proper. Irving’s recent arrivals include construction equipment manufacturer Caterpillar, which moved to Williams Square Drive from Illinois in 2022, and Kelly-Moore Paints, which moved from California in 2023 to an office at 500 East John Carpenter Freeway. Both are within three miles of Bimbo’s new headquarters.
