One of Texas’ priciest fall listings just traded hands.
Venus Homes, a luxury spec developer founded in Menlo Park, California, in 2012 but based in Dallas since 2022, sold the home at 6901 Hunters Glen Road to Robert and Fallon Vaughn, according to a deed recorded on April 20. The sale price was not disclosed, and Venus Homes founder Jon Venverloh declined to comment on the transaction.
Designed by SHM Architects and built in 2023, the 10,200-square-foot, seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom home occupies a 0.8-acre corner parcel, according to the listing and public records. It’s one of the larger lots in the Volk Estates, a neighborhood in University Park, according to Venverloh. Allie Beth Allman and Associates agent Chad Barrett, a member of the state’s highest-producing real estate team, had the listing.
The home originally hit the market last October for $26 million, ranking among the top 10 most expensive new residential listings in Texas, according to the Houston Association of Realtors. It was asking $24.5 million when it left the market, amounting to about $2,400 per square foot. Venus withdrew the listing from the market in March, Zillow shows.
University Park is one of two independent locales within Dallas that form the Park Cities, the state’s wealthiest residential enclave, according to Zillow. Last year, the home at 6601 Hunters Glen Road, a five-minute walk from the Venus Homes home up the street, sold in December for $30.5 million — the most expensive residential sale recorded publicly in Texas in 2025.
The second-most expensive home sale of the year took place in Highland Park, the southern counterpart to University Park. The home at 4000 Euclid Avenue sold on Dec. 3 for $25.5 million.
Venverloh founded Venus Homes toward the end of a two-decade career at Google. The company set a record for the priciest residential sale of Menlo Park, where Facebook is headquartered, when its project at 1394 San Mateo Drive sold for $16.8 million in 2022.
Vaughn is a co-founder of privately held investment firm Vaughn Capital Partners, an executive at oil company Vaughn Petroleum and also a board member of Dallas-based publicly traded oil company Dorchester Minerals.
