Texas’ top construction permits for the week ending May 11, 2026

TRD reports on the Lone Star State’s top new permits last week

The Dallas Wings are at the top of the scoreboard for the state’s most expensive new construction projects filed last week. The City of Dallas filed plans to spend $52 million on a 70,540-square-foot training facility for the WNBA team at 1200 Stone Mesa Drive in Dallas. The filing lists Full Court Partners, the parent company of the Dallas Wings, as a tenant.

In second place, Medical City Plano Hospital filed plans to build a freestanding three-story concrete parking garage at 3901 West 15th Street that will cost an estimated $24 million. Work on the 248,000-square-foot structure began in January and will end in December 2027.

H-E-B filed the third-most expensive new construction project of the week. The San Antonio-based grocery chain plans to spend $22.8 million on a new 121,228-square-foot store at 1919 Parker Road in Carrollton, the first H-E-B in the city, to be finished by November 2027.

Renovations

Dallas-based CyrusOne filed the priciest renovation of the week with a $300 million plan to fit out its data center DFW8 at 9501 Asphalt Road in Fort Worth. The project covers 109,000 square feet of interior area, and work is expected to proceed from July 2026 to October 2027.

Ranking second, Dallas-based Stonelake Capital Partners plans to spend $15.3 million to remodel Georgetown Logistics, an industrial facility at 1800 Aviation Drive in Georgetown. The manufacturer associated with the address is Total Site Solutions, a technology services company that specializes in data centers.

Dallas-based Proxy Properties filed plans to spend $13.5 million on the latest stage of its adaptive reuse project at the old Oak Cliff United Methodist Church, a fire-damaged historic building at 549 East Jefferson Boulevard in Dallas. Starting this month and ending May 2027, Proxy will renovate the interior, repair the foundation and add an elevator tower to the 46,236-square-foot building.
