A former member of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and the San Antonio Spurs bought another home in Westlake that was initially listed for about $11 million, growing the basketball star’s already expansive portfolio.

Jay & Ray LLC bought the property at 1609 Meandering Way Drive from Larry and Maria Smith on June 9, according to the deed. State records list Aldridge as the sole member of the LLC, and it’s the same entity recorded in the chain of title for another home at 1503 Meeting Street in Southlake, which made headlines when Aldridge listed it in 2017.

The sellers originally listed the home for $10.9 million last August, ranking among the top 10 new listings to hit the market in Texas that month, according to data compiled from the state’s biggest multiple listing services by the Houston Association of Realtors. It was the only Tarrant County home on the August list

The final sale price wasn’t disclosed, but the property was listed for $10 million when it went under contract, according to Zillow.

Built in 2023, the 10,466-square-foot mansion sits on an acre lot in the Quail Hollow subdivision, a luxury enclave near the Vaquero country club. Features of the home include a six-car garage, an outdoor kitchen and a basketball court.

The asking price comes down to about $955 per square foot. Lucy Noonan of Synergy Realty had the listing.

A native of Dallas, Aldridge played six seasons with the Spurs starting in 2015, when he commissioned an entire house in Dallas for his shoes. He’s bought and sold several houses around the country, but mostly concentrated in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Realtor.com reported. Most recently, Jay & Ray LLC sold a 7,000-square-foot home at 3516 Lejoie Lane in Colleyville in February after asking $1.2 million, according to public records and Zillow.

Aldridge isn’t the first celebrity to call the affluent Southlake-Westlake area home. Former Fox News host Glenn Beck recently sold a home near the Vaquero Club that was built for professional golfer Brandt Jobe.
