A 20-year-old energy drink and workout supplement producer is planning a headquarters campus for Austin’s west side.
Nutrabolt secured an $863 million investment from Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. that will help the company with hiring and to build a 75,000-square-foot headquarters at 332 Grace Lane, off Bee Caves Road, the Austin Business Journal reported. Developer Riverside Resources is partnering with Nutrabolt for the project.
The project calls for “areas that advocate mental and physical wellness, professional performance, and a high level of collaboration,” as well as an onsite gym and indoor and outdoor team-building and conference spaces. There will also be coworking space and room for charity events like the GiveJoy Foundation’s annual Grow and Give Back Holiday Drive.
Nutrabolt, the maker of C4 energy drink, was founded in 2002 and moved its headquarters from Bryan to Austin in 2019.
The company, which currently employs about 400 people, expects to grow its headcount by 30 percent year-over-year. Nutrabolt is already hiring for 32 roles, including sales representative, marketing director and diversity director.
Keurig Dr Pepper’s investment bought the Massachusetts-based company a 30 percent stake in Nutrabolt. The privately held Nutrabolt is valued at about $2.8 billion.
“The success we’re seeing within our functional beverage business is making us an attractive potential acquirer of other high-growth businesses that might be developing brands and other categories,” Nutrabolt CEO and Chairman Doss Cunningham told the outlet.
