The east Austin suburb of Manor is getting a new shopping center with some big name stores.
The 63-acre retail center will be anchored by an H-E-B and Home The Home Depot, the Austin Business Journal reported. The Home Depot store will span 135,000 square feet. The H-E-B store will be 110,000 square feet.
Manor Crossing’s retail development will be part of a 95-acre mixed-use development by Butler Family Partnership Ltd. that will also include 600 multifamily units. It will be located at the northwest corner of U.S. Highway 290 and FM 973.
The Retail Connection is marketing the development’s commercial space.
The center will also feature a 25,000-square-foot TJ Maxx, a 20,000-square-foot Burlington Coat Factory, a 19,000-square-foot Planet Fitness, a 10,000-square foot Dollar Tree and a 9,000-square foot Five Below.
Future restaurant tenants include: Einstein Bagel Bros, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Chick-fil-A, Chili’s, Chipotle, Panera Bread, Seven Brew, Tropical Café, Five Guys and Abbott’s Frozen Custard.
Construction on the center is expected to begin in the second or third quarter of next year.
The center is not fully leased, and developers are still looking for additional sit-down family restaurants at the development, said Lance Morris of the Retail Connection’s Austin office.
Though Manor only has about 19,000 residents, the retail trade area – or physical area from which retailers get most of their business – is almost 100,000 people, according to the Retail Coach, which used cell phone data to determine shopping habits.
Manor is located about 12 miles from Austin. Between 2020 and 2023, the city added more than 5,000 residents, a growth rate of about 38 percent, according to a November report by the Texas Demographic Center.
