Texas transplant Elon Musk added two retail leases to the Hyperloop Plaza development in Bastrop County.
Musk’s retail hub at 865 FM 1209 is adding a cafe and medical office to its lineup, to address increasing demand from employees and nearby residents, the San Antonio Express-News reported.
Cafe Monet and Total Primary Care are opening at the campus, Hyperloop Plaza indicated in a post on Musk’s X social media platform.
Located near key Musk-led ventures like The Boring Company and Starlink, the plaza serves as a central hub in the rapidly developing area just outside Austin. The plaza’s other tenants include Boring Bodega, Prufrock Pub, Cutterhead Candy Company and a His & Hers Barbershop Salon.
The leases highlight the community-centric approach of Musk’s operations in Bastrop County, where many of his employees live in Snailbrook, a neighborhood of modular homes. Musk indicated to the Wall Street Journal that he plans to create a Musk-led city in the area; he later dismissed the report as false but did not elaborate.
The billionaire entrepreneur announced plans last summer to relocate SpaceX and X to Texas, which is already home of his Tesla operations.
